About Me
A native son of Montreal, Canada, Christopher has been an emphatic ambassador for Gospel music through media and Live events. Over the past 30 years, he's been instrumental in producing a slew of notable Gospel concerts featuring artists like Kirk Franklin, Hezekiah Walker, Marvin Sapp, Fred Hammond & Mali Music, to name a few.
In addition to producing special events and 2 Gospel music festivals for the city of Montreal, Christopher co-created in 1994 the Gospel TV Show, A Taste Of Heaven on CJNT-TV (hosted by Isabelle Racicot) co-founded in 2000 GospelCity.com and served as an industry rep for BlackGospel.com and Lead Writer for BET network series, Joyful Noise (2016). Most notably, Christopher has earned awards and popularity as the steady co-host and producer for Mind, Soul & Spirit on CKUT 90.3FM.
Since its debut in 1990, the 3-hour Gospel radio show has played an instrumental role as a reliable media outlet for information, commentary and inspirational music. The show has interviewed popular Gospel personalities like Kirk Franklin, Dr. Trevor Payne, Vincent Bohanan & Limoblaze, to name a few.
In addition, the radio show highlights community events, offers a weekly inspirational segment, and spotlights emerging and established Quebec & Canadian recording artists. Mr. Heron is a proud ambassador and liaison within Montreal's multilingual, multicultural church communities.
Christopher has engaged in Artist Management for notable local figures like Jennifer Meade & The Fitz-Patrick Sisters and co-produced Montreal's first Gospel Comedy Show, featuring popular Christian American comedians Barry Brewer, Jr, Akintunde, Rod of God & GL Douglas.
During the pandemic, Mr. Heron released a virtual series called ON THE GRID, featuring exclusive virtual interviews with today's most popular American Gospel artists; for example, Jonathan McReynolds, Koryn Hawthorne, Jekalyn Carr & Myron Butler were all guests.
In 2020, the City of Montreal's Black History Month Roundtable announced Christopher Heron as one of 12 distinguished Laureates for his extraordinary leadership and cultural contribution in Montreal, Canada.
In 2021, Christopher Heron spearheaded a beta-released, faith-based streaming platform called PRAISEFLOW, currently available in the Apple and GooglePlay App stores.
Chris is happily married to and complemented by his lovely and devoted wife, professional accountant and stylist, Sophia Cunningham.
